the perfect concert

May 1st, I received the tickets of a performance. It was a piano concert by Shen WenYu who is a famous talented pianist. He appeared his genius on piano when he was 7 years old. This is a main point attracted me.



At 7:20, I arrived the Centre of Culture and Arts. The concert began after 10 minutes. I was very excited because this is the first time I go to a concert that only one person's show. Mr.Shen looked younger and more gentle than the picture. The first music gave me a big surprise because it was excited and gave me a strong feeling. The printed program wrote he just played a part of this music. I know it before this concert. It called “The fate of Symphony”， wrote by Beethoven. Then, he also played like “Improvisation Rhapsody”，“The second Hungarian Rhapsody”，“The memory of TangHuang" and so on.

During the rest, I looked around the concert. Acturly, there is a good place to enjoy the music. There is not too many people here, and all of them looks silent and have good behavior. Also, the player is a more better one because he has a special feeling gave me. I thought it is a feeling came from his genius.


After the concert finished, I also involving in the music around my mind. It is a fantasitic night for me. Because of this chance, I learned the behavior in concert and also knew people should have better behavior to help them more successful.

Christian

I went to the Church on MoChou Road on April 25th. There was not many people that day. At first, the pastor lead us to read “Holy Bible”. Then, he told us some stories about Jesus. Finally, we all stand up and sang the songs in the Church. Then, I asked to pastor about the history and any details about Christian.

I am lucky girl because my house near the Church. So I always go crossing here or going into and saw the activities. Every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, there were some people sat in and did the formal things. I was join them sometimes. In my opinion, each region is fantastic and have a big power from somewhere we do not know. After I went there some times, I was a little believe in Christian. I believe some words and sentences that Jesus said, like “People have souls”.

Christian is a region that believe for Jesus. It looks Jesus is a god. It has 3 parts called “Roman Catholicism”, “Protestant” and “ Eastern Orthodoxy”. Christianity originated at the Palestine in the 1st century AD. Jesus was born in Nazareth at the northern Galilee in Palestine. His mother called Maria and father called Joseph. The main idea of Jesus are "dedicated to love of God that intended to do" and "Love your neighbor as yourself".

Choose a region to believe give me a power that can not see. When I felt nervous or other feelings, I can talk to Gold.

act in Fashion Show

When I knew the Fashion Show of GCA, I was very excited because my dream is be a designer. So, this is a good chance to practise myself. However, there is an accidental chance that I also need to be the model of our group. Before I finished the Fashion Show, I always afraid about this. How can I be a model wears my own design? How can I show the main idea and feeling of the clothe? They are big problems in my mind.

April 28th night, the Fashion Show began in NFLS. There are too many people including my teacher and friends, and anyone I did not know. Actually, this was not the first time I show before a lot of people, but I also felt nervous. The clothe of my group is a prom. I should acted like a gentle woman. I bought a pair of high-heel shoes and made up specially. The most important point is not how I matching my dress, I need to practise the gesture in fact. I must rise my head and throw my chest when I walking. I seldom walk like this in common. I used free time to practised in my home and let my mother helped me. However other people thought, I felt I did wonderful when I finished the performance.

During this time, I was learning whatever the thing I do, I need to try my best to be successful. If I be a model next time, I also know I should be confident enough. Like my friends said to me before the performance “ the confident people is the most beautiful one.”

This year, I choose to be a teacher for a little child. He is a student in Grade 3. So, he need someone help him review during weekends. It is a good volunteer work for me.

On March and April, I went to the child’s home every Saturday or Sunday. He lives less far from my home. I always took bus early.

Before I did this work, I thought it is easy to teach a kid. However, I know it also difficult after I taught one time. I taught the student Chinese and English mainly, and taught Maths sometimes. Because he is a child, so I need to made him feel study is a interesting thing. For example, I said some history stories when I taught Chinese idioms. The student’s mother told me, English is a most important lesson for him. This student began to learning English formally this year. She want me taught slowly from simple words. One day, I felt play game will help child remember words quickly when I taught him the color’s English names. First, made different color-papers, wrote the names on back. Then, gave him the papers one by one, he should called the right name for each one in 2 minutes. If he did excellent, I’ll take him to play games outside after class.

Teach Maths is not the work in plan. However, I saw the student’s math was not very good. So, I taught his Math in free time. Because my experience, I think do some questions and find the solving ways is a better idea than do too many questions. I found some questions from his test books be examples, and taught him how to solving this kind of questions. Luckily, the student also like this way to study Math. After some days, His mother asked me to teach Math, too.

During this experience, I realized be a teacher is a more difficult job than my thought before. I should have a good teaching way that help child turns better. If I just know how to solve questions, but can not teach the child, it is not useful. Because this volunteer work, I used my free time adequately. Teaching children made me be more patient, too.

Nanjing Museum

Today is 15th of March, I went to Nanjing Museum this afternoon. It is located at Zhongshan Road. Luckily, I met Jenny in there, so we were watching the exhibition together. This is my third time came to Nanjing Museum, the last is when I was 10 years old. During 5 years, I thought the museum has no more changed.
This first hall we went is Lacquer Pruducts Exhibition. China is the first country that used lacquer technology. About 7000 years ago, Chinese people made wood products with lacquer that looks more beautiful. There is a huge black folding screen with light colors ornamental engraving. In the museum, tbere are also has Folk Art Hall, Porcelain Hall, Ceramic Hall, Bronze Ware Exhibition, Treasure Hall, Modern Art Exhibition, Embroidery Hall, Jade Ware Hall, Calligraphy and Painting Hall. This is why I choose go there just because there are too many things I can learn and view.
I interesting at a artwork called “Glazed arch gate of the pagoda of Baoen Temple”. Like the picture aboved, it is a huge gate that looks very old that made by colored glazes. I think it was a difficult project for makers in that time because it was a arch gate. They did not have any instruments like computer but also made it looks shapely and regular. The guide words said, it was formed by many pieces of different glaze. So, the maker first should made glaze has different beautiful colors. Then, design a good shape and patterns. Finally, put the glazes on the huge gate. This how to made a perfect gate like it.
I like this exhibition. It shows us the culture of China, the culture of Nanjing. There are many things we can not saw before. Viewed this museum, I learned Bronze Ware was made in Zhou times. I also knew Porcelain not only has one kind and so many things. Look exhibition is a good way to learning knowledge.

The lunch in Tacos

Tacos is a famous western restaurant in Nanjing. Because of the Planning Movie Project, most people of Zoe's group went to the Tacos in ZhuJiang Road 2 weeks ago. We should photographed a part of movie in restaurant.
I arrived Tacos about 11 o’clock, Zoe、Mike and Bobby were sitting in there. The environment of this restaurant is so quietly maybe because it’s only 11:00. There are more than 25 tables but not crowded. The main color of this restaurant are red and black—the waiters’ and waitress’ clothes and chairs、table are all red-and-black. I think it presents the Chinese and Western Culture can get together.
During the movie photograph, I orderred two dishes called Spaghetti and Tiramisu. Spaghetti is the noodle from Italy, and Tiramisu is a kind of cake. As a result, this is not my first time ate this things, but this is the first time I ate this did not in Pizza Hot. Like the picture shows, Spaghetti is looks like Chinese noodle. However, I flet it tasted more tough and delicous than Chinese noodle. With the potatos and chicken, this dish was very NICE!!! Also, the Tiramisu was good, too. It mixed cake、chocolate and milk, a little sweety and made people had a happy feeling.
During this time, I found the change of Easten and Westen food. However, I found the change of Chinese and Westen resturant, too. In westen resturant, people feel more comfortable and gentle because the peaceful environment. The many Chinese resturant can not has this kind of environment and always has noise.

the volunteer work

I went to the Nanjing Audit Machinery to be a volunteer this Spring Holiday. Nanjing Audit Machinery is a department that audit any companys’ economy. Because of the planning class mission, I went to there and do some common things like typing、printing、sweeping and so on. I thought this is a way to practise myself.

The first day, I arrived at nine o’clock and went to No.201 room to be a volunteer. The worker said to me, please typing and printing this report 200 times. Typing need writting the report in computer and check the mistakes. Then go to No.601 the printing room. When I finished this work, I asked to the worker:” Are there anythings need I do?” He said:”Please share this to all the workers in our machinery.” There are nearly 200 people in this department, and 7 floors. After lunch, I went to 601 to helped the worker printed reports. Finally, I went back about 3 o’clock.

The next day, the worker in No.201 told to me:” You can help No.202. There are more works than us. You can learn more things.” So, I went to No.202 and asked for things to do. The worker said they have some reports need check. I checked all morning and my eyes felt tired. I thought no works are easy. After lunch, I referred my works. The worker said:”Good job. Thanks.”

I joined volunteer club in school. We go to the Nanjing Blind People School once a week. The first day we went to NFLS at 10 o’clock and took bus to Blind People School. The leader called Nick. This school is smaller than our school, and the buildings looks a little old. Nick took us to a classroom, there are nearly 30 students. Nick said we need a part of people teach them English, and another part took the children to play games. Then I choose a little boy looks very lovely, he said his name is Chao. He likes music and english. So I asked him sang a english song. He looked very happy that I can saw. After one hour, my friends said we can let them play hide-and-seek. However, it was not easy, because they can not saw anything, so we need speak something to attract them. A few people went to played another game called “chair game”. We went back at 11:30. However, because I need learn IELTS so I only go there 3 times.
I learned be a volunteer need more patient than common, and also need do things carefully. My mistake is negligence sometimes. Though this process, I practised myself to be more careful

Physical activity

My mom always said:”You should do more exercise and make you strong.”However, I am a lazy girl before, I seldom do exercise. I only go swimming once a month. I did not knew if I did not practised my body, I would be unhealthy. When I came back from hospital one day, I told my mother:”Please supervise I exercise twice a week.” The doctor told to me:” You must doing exercise to keep you health.”

At the beginning, I felt very tired when I only exercised 15 minutes. It means I have a very bad physique. So, I knew I must do exercise frequently and positively. I chose running and swimming to practise my body. I go swimming once a week, at least 3 hours one time. Because I swimming very well before, so it’s easy to me to finished.
I usually went to the Nanjing University P.E. Centre, there is a swimming pool. At first, I used breast stroke near the side of pool. About 1 hours left, I used backstoke to had a rest. However, if I backstoke more time, I always falling in the water and drank few water.

Running is a easy and common way that people used to exercise. I can do it everywhere, so I was running around my apartment frequently. When I running, I need to use my legs, and wave my arms if I want. I will sweat fastly, and this way can practise the muscle in legs, the energy will be strong. Running will expend the water in body, so I must bring a bottle of water. Jogging is a popular way to keep fit that so many youngers uses. If keep fat properly, reduce axunge, I will be more nimble.

I like playing tennis, too. I used this Spiring Festival Holiday to played tennis with my aunt. She is good at this, so she can teach me more details and practise with me. Playing tennis, I should running, and waving my arm, it practises every part of my body. When I finished exercise, I felt tired but comfortable, and I sweated so much. Play badminton is like play tennis, but badminton ball is more heavy and play tennis, when I palyed badminton I only can stick to 1 hour.

I also doing Yoga sometimes with my mother. Rase my arms and rase one of legs is a act of Yoga. When I first learned it, I felt ache all of my body. Yoga is popular few years, doing this will relax the muscle and pneuma that teacher said.

Doing physical activities has so many way, however, the goal only has one—make our body healthy. So, I learned if we want to have a good future, we must have a healthy body, and if we need health, we need exercise. Though the precess of my exercise, I learned only stick to do something continuesly will arrive the goal. Now, I am healthy than before because I exercised frequently and not give up. Do not give up to everything is what I learn.

Join the Dancing Club

Before I studying in GCA, I seldom joined school clubs or some activities. One reason is there are not many clubs in my school, another reason is I did not thought activities are important in my school life. When I came to GCA, I saw many clubs conscribed people passionately. This is a special and interesting thing that I thought. In GCA, there have dancing club, volunteer club, cooking club, DIY club and so on that I interested.
However, if I join all clubs that I like is not good for my study. Finally, I chose dancing club and volunteer club.

Dancing club’s leader called Only. When we first go to practise, he let us to gymnasium. There is three rooms in second floor. Only said we should practise on the right big room. The first class, we know there is a grade 12 student called Rena will teach our HIP-POP. Rena teach us the common practise of HIP-POP. I thought dancing need I use every parts of my body, I need ears to listening music, use my heart to feeling the rate, use other parts to moving...We danced at least 2 hours, all of us are tired and sweated so much. Rena said, if we want to dancing more beautiful, we should practise more in the home.

When I staying at the dancing club, I always smile because I am happy. The pleasure came from the everyone in the club. We practised together, shared the succeed and a case of crabs with each other. When we finished the show in Sports Day, we all excited to looking for club members, we interesting to said the feeling. Because most of us were the first time to showed in so many people, all the students and teachers in NFLS, like me, I never show before more than 10 people. So, I felt very nervous that day, and I usually said “Don’t worry. You are the best”to my self. However, if must say what is the weakness in our club, I think is when we join long time that we felt, we were be tired to practise and do not want to practised sometimes. Finally, some people stick to practise and another people seldom to join.

Now I joined the dancing club at least 6 mouths, this is a long time for me and my friends. We can showed in the Sports Day, showed at the party of army crops, showed in the entertainment of our class. This is a very great thing for us, we all thought this is a good choice that we joined Dancing Club. We learned how to dancing, and also learned how to stay with club members, how to fighting together, how to share the succeed? We need believe each other, love everyone, accept others’ advantages and disadvantages, if we do these well, we can staying at this big family very well.

A good school club, a great group, just like a big family to every members. I think we should love our club, be proud of we are the member of this club.

The lunch in French restaurant

Last 21th of december, we went to the French restaurant. This restaurant is located near QingLiang Moutain Park. The weather is very cold that day, we took the bus to there.
At first, we was looking around the restaurant, it is not European style but designed by Chinese style. The lights are like the big chinese red light, and there is a red portiere near the door. As we know, red is a symbol of color of Chinese which always used in New Year.
We began to have our delicious French lunch at 10:30. The first dish was salad, made by little tomatos, lettuce and cukes with soy sauce. It tasted just like common we ate in Pizza Hot or other restaurant, but the dish looks more beatiful and colorful than common. After we ate completely, the waitress came and change our table knife to soup spoon. The secound dish was soap that made by pumpkin, butter and fresh fruit juice. It was looked different and tasted salty. The main course came after maybe 20 minutes, we all hungry and looked forward it. Soon, the waitress came change our soap spoon to a special knife (the handle was made by wood and the knife was zigzag). The main course are wings of chicken or duck I don’t know exactly, and some cutlet. It was the most delicious food which I ate that day! After main course, the last dish is apple pie that tasted between sweet and sour.
The manner is more important if we eat foreign meat. Sitting like a prince or princess, it means you must be gentle. Don’t make loud noise, don’t speaking when you are eating, eat slowly, and so on are manners that grade 12 students told us.
Finally, we thanked for waitresses and waiters in our room and the owner of this restaurant (Hugo’s mother). I think this is a interesting and useful way that I can learn the manner of eating.

a fantastic exihibition in Nanjing University

On 4th of December, my class went to enjoyed a fantastic exhibition in Nanjing University. It's called "The Exhibition of Wu WeiShan". Most of the artworks are sculptures in the exhibition.
As the topic said, all of the artworks in this exhibition were made by one artist, his name is Wu WeiShan. Mr.Wu is one of the most famous artists in the world, he earned the Pangolin Prize, this is the first time that a Asian got Pangolin Prize. So I was very exciting that I have a chance to saw Mr.Wu's artworks.
My favourite sculpture is “ Gounsa Only to Leisure—Lin FengMian”. This artwork was made by Wu WeiShan in 2006. This is a person called Lin FengMian. He is an artist of Chinese painting. This sculpture shows Mr.Lin leaning on a object like a stone. He puts one leg on another leg. His arm-crossed before his chest. His head is small, and maybe he had short or no hair on that time so that I could not saw it on the sculpture. Look at his face, two little eyes but I felt them bright and shinning. His nose and mouth are small, too. However, he has two big ears. Mr.Lin was smiled. He wears a long dust coat, the hem of it was floating in the air. He was a old man but spirited. This sculpture made by stones. Mr.Wu did not put any colors on the artwork. The texture of it is slippy. Though this sculpture, as if I saw the alive Mr.Lin before us.
Now, I feel the artwork is not 100% realistic. As some of people know, Mr.Lin is a great artist who changed the way and design of Chinese painting. So, we have today’s Chinese painting better than ancient. This artwork made me think about the picture painted by Lin FengMian. Like Lin’s picture, the artists used their imaginative and creative to made arts. When I looked at the eyes of the person, I thought it lively that I can receive a strong feeling from them. I fell Mr.Lin was good-tempered and friendly, maybe he want to tell us how to make arts and what the art is. Mr.Wu made this sculpture, his intention is to make us feel Lin FengMian’s character, though his artwork we can understand Mr.Lin and go into his heart.
I like this artwork because it is synthesized imagination and realism together in a new way. It’s the characteristic of Mr.Wu’s artwork. In this sculpture, Mr.Wu has not made a subject of Lin drawing pictures as the common way. He presents a picture of Lin’s life. It’s a special way that another artists seldom used. It show for us a real Lin FengMian. After I saw this exhibition, I always pay more attention on famous sculptures, I think every sculpture have their own life, all of them are arts. If I look forward to one day, I have the chance to learn and make one sculpture by myself, this is a fantastic thing for me.
